What should I bring?
Make sure you bring a camera, water bottle, a light snack and money
for extra equipment, food and
spectator & Parking fees. Bring your
equipment, foam dipped gloves, boots, helmet, shin guards, rib
protector, mouth guard, athletic cup (boys) and your weapon(s) for
kata.  For outdoor tournaments you might want to bring a folding
chair, sunscreen, a hat and your DeAngelis Martial Arts t-shirt.
IF you do not have equipment you will need to borrow it from us.
 It is
your responsibility
to pick up your equipment the last class you will
attend before the tournament.
What should I do when I first arrive?

You should register at the registration area. If you have prepaid you
should check in at the registration area and make sure you are
properly registered.
You will be given cards for each of your events. In some tournaments
anyone not judging or participating in the tournament will need to pay a
spectators fee.
Look around and find out where some of your classmates are sitting.  It
is great to sit in a group before the tournament begins.  Once you are
situated you should go on the floor and find a ring that is not being
heavily used and practice your routine.  If you are using your weapon
be careful and make sure no one is near you.  Do not assume people
are looking out for you, you must look out for other people. There
should be no running around. This is time to get acclimated to your
tournament area.  Listen up for the call for lineup.
This site has many patriotic songs listed.
You do not need to know this but it is good to know.
The Star Spangled Banner Lyrics

"Oh, say can you see by the dawn's early light
What so proudly we hailed at the twilight's last gleaming?
Whose broad stripes and bright stars thru the perilous fight,
O'er the ramparts we watched were so gallantly streaming?
And the rocket's red glare, the bombs bursting in air,
Gave proof through the night that our flag was still there.
Oh, say does that star-spangled banner yet wave
O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave?"
The Pledge of Allegiance
"I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America
and to the Republic for which it stands, one nation under God,
indivisible, with liberty and justice for all."
You do not need to know this but it is good to know.
God Bless America
"God bless America land that I love, stand beside her and guide
her thru the night with a light from above. From the mountains to
the prairies, to the oceans, white with foam,God bless America,
my home sweet home."
You do not need to know this but it is good to know.
